November 4, 2002 I had a life changing moment. I was suddenly and unexpectedly left alone. My friends and family encouraged me to build a new Villa. I could not imagine doing something like this alone. My first step was to meet the builder, Lynn Delagrange. He assured me that I would have help every step of the way.

On November 21, 2003 I moved into my new Villa. This had to be the best decision I have had to make alone. Lynn Delagrange and his staff have been very kind and considerate of my situation. I was amazed how quickly and efficiently my new home was completed. The allowances for cabinets, lighting, plumbing, etc. were very generous. In some cases I was under my allowance and was still able to have what I normally would have purchased.

This Villa is one beautiful home. My kids have called it “state of the art.” When friends and family came into my new home for the first time, the comments were always the same: This is so beautiful. I agree. I am glad that I listened to people that have had a home built by Lynn Delagrange, Inc.

We knew we needed an exceptional builder when we decided to build in Indiana while we were living in California. We chose Lynn Delagrange based on his excellent reputation in the community as a “truly custom builder” and an initial meeting with him to discuss our needs. He was the only builder that we met with that provided us with a detailed listing of materials as part of his bid. He also played a big role in designing our house, creating a blueprint from our drawings and ideas. Working remotely presented unique challenges, but using technology and a lot of open communication we planned and began building from 2500 miles away!

Through extensive planning upfront, Lynn ensured that we got the house we wanted and eliminated surprises along the way. The detailed listing of materials and products that he provided at the time of his bid gave us the opportunity to make changes before building began. This meant that our house was completed on schedule and at the cost we expected! By applying his strong commitment to quality, we have not only a beautiful home, but a functional one as well. He has a fantastic team around him – supervisors and subcontractors – that truly made a difference in our experience. We were kept informed of progress and encouraged to visit the house during construction. Our new home is exactly what we wanted – and more. It was designed and built according to our specific needs, wants, and budget – exactly what we hoped for with a custom home.

My wife Kathy and I are totally happy with our new home built by Lynn Delagrange, Inc. Lynn took the time to listen to our dreams, designed and built a house that exceeded our expectations. A true custom builder, his attention to detail was evident thru each phase of the construction. The allowances were generous and completion date ahead of schedule. The professional staff was truly a pleasure to work with. It's humbling when  complete strangers stop and ask, "Who built your beautiful home?" Dreams do come true.

The old adage, “You will hate your builder by the time your new house is finished,” does not hold true for Lynn Delagrange.

Most people who plan to build a new custom-designed home are cautious, value oriented, and selective customers; we were no different. After conferring with several builders and talking with friends who had just completed new homes—and touring houses that each builder had constructed—we selected Lynn to build our new home at Clear Lake.

Our building lot was unique and he worked hard to design a house to complement the location, and Lynn knows Clear Lake! He responded to our requests for changes in design, adding materials, and use of specific suppliers and vendors and retained his hair and his sense of humor. The construction techniques and building supplies were top quality.

We were very pleased with the flexibility of Mr. Delagrange and his subcontractors to satisfy our needs. His staff, particularly Ron, Tony, Sharon and Wanda, was superb to work with. We are impressed with Lynn’s business philosophy. When we complimented him on all the great houses he has built he reminded us that he is “only as good as the house he did yesterday and he must prove himself again today.”

The homeowner’s satisfaction with the completed house, the financial arrangements, and the construction experience determine what they tell their friends and family. Thanks, Lynn, for building the house that the Armstrong family loves!
